Pakistan Railways, based in Lahore, is inviting applications for the appointment or engagement of retired supervisory staff from the Signal Department, Mechanical Loco Department, and Carriage & Wagon Department.
These jobs are contractually fixed to last for a year. Suitable candidates who have retired at the age of superannuation, i.e., 60 years, are encouraged to apply, subject to meeting physical fitness requirements.

Age Limit:
- The maximum age limit for this opportunity is 62 years.
Terms and Conditions for Contract Appointment:
1. Eligibility is restricted to candidates with prior experience in the specified categories.
2. Selected candidates will receive salaries equivalent to BS-06, BS-09, BS-11, BS-12, & BS-14 based on their last drawn pay, inclusive of standard allowances per the contract appointment regulations. However, they will not receive a gratuity or pension.
3. The initial contract period of one year may be extended further as deemed necessary by Pakistan Railways.
4. The competent authority reserves the right to reject applications for contract appointments without providing reasons.
5. The number of available positions may be altered without explanation.
6. Successful candidates must pass a medical fitness examination conducted exclusively by Pakistan Railways Hospital.
7. Individuals retired due to compulsory removal, dismissal, or medical grounds are ineligible for this appointment.
8. Call letters will be issued solely to eligible candidates for contract appointments.
9. No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided to candidates appearing for interviews or medical examinations.
10. The appointed individuals may be assigned postings anywhere within the entire railway system.
