Job Description:

The latest advertisement in Punjab announces 500 vacancies for charge nurses (BS-16) on an adhoc basis. Suitable candidates meeting the qualifications and experience criteria as per the Govt. of Punjab Nursing Service Rules, 2014 (No. SOR-III(S&GAD)1-23/2003, dated May 11, 2014) are invited to apply.

These positions are for a duration of one year or until the appointment of a regular incumbent. Applications for these Punjab government jobs are accepted from both male and female candidates. Successful candidates will secure positions in Pakistan in 2024 upon completion of the job procedure.

Charge Nurse (BPS-16)

Age Limit:

The age limit for this position ranges from 21 to 28 years old.

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria for eligibility:

i) Possession of a four-year BSc. Nursing degree and valid registration from the Pakistan Nursing Council; OR

ii) Possession of a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery along with valid registration from the Pakistan Nursing Council.

Preference will be granted to graduates from government institutions.

2. Ad-hoc appointments do not guarantee subsequent regular appointments to the same post or contribute towards seniority.

3. The appointment adheres to the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974, along with service-related rules and government-issued orders on leave, travel allowances, medical attendance, and pay.

4. The competent authority retains the right to adjust the number of posts until the conclusion of the adhoc recruitment process.

5. The appointment is contingent upon character verification by relevant police authorities.

6. Appointment orders are subject to verification of documents and degrees by the issuing authority. If any document is found to be tampered with or forged, the appointment will be voided, and all salaries and benefits received will be recovered with legal action taken.

7. Ad-hoc appointments are valid for up to one year or until the regular appointment of an incumbent, whichever comes first.

8. Age relaxation in the upper age limit will follow the Government of Punjab, S&GAD Notification No. SORI(S&GAD)9-36/81, dated 08-08-2016, providing a relaxation of 5 years for males and 8 years for female candidates.
